Overview

The Quest Deck introduces optional side-objectives that players may complete for powerful rewards. These cards add layers of strategy, risk, and excitement.

Setup

Each quest describes a specific condition and a reward for fulfilling it. Players can only complete quests they have drawn or those revealed globally.

Start-of-Game Draft (Standard Mode)

Each player draws or chooses one Quest at the start of the game. Players may optionally mulligan once to draw a different Quest. Once completed, the Quest card is discarded.

Milestone Reveal (Slow Burn)

Every three full turn rotations, reveal a Quest to the center of the play area. The first player to complete it claims the reward and discards it.

Quest Cascade (Power Mode)

Players draw a new Quest every turn or immediately after completing one.

Event Trigger (Chaos Style)

Reveal or draw a Quest when a Glitch ends or a new Plane is entered. This mode encourages unpredictable quest injections into gameplay.

Shop Mechanic (Economy Style)

Players may 'buy' a new Quest by paying 12 life or sacrificing 7 Treasure tokens.

Additional Rules

Players may not complete more than one Quest per turn unless otherwise stated. Quest rewards resolve immediately unless otherwise noted. Quests are personal unless explicitly defined as global.

Design Tip

Tailor quest frequency to your group's pace and deck power levels. For faster formats, use fewer quests. For campaign or RPG-style sessions, increase quest interaction and complexity.
